Rebar (short for reinforcing bar), collectively known as reinforcing steel and reinforcement steel, is a steel bar or mesh of steel wires used as a tension device in reinforced concrete and reinforced masonry structures to strengthen and aid the concrete under tension. Concrete is strong under compression, but has weak tensile strength. Rebar significantly increases the tensile strength of the structure. Quantity take-offs (QTO) are a detailed measurement of rebar materials and labor needed to complete a construction project. They are developed by an estimator during the preconstruction phase. These measurements are used to format a bid on the scope of construction.

Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) is the technology of indoor and vehicular environmental comfort. Its goal is to provide thermal comfort and acceptable indoor air quality. HVAC system design is a sub discipline of mechanical engineering, based on the principles of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics and heat transfer. "Refrigeration" is sometimes added to the field's abbreviation, as HVAC&R or HVACR or "ventilation" is dropped, as in HACR.


Ducts are conduits or passages used in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) to deliver and remove air. The needed airflows include, for example, supply air, return air, and exhaust air. Chilled water is a commodity often used to cool a building's air and equipment, especially in situations where many individual rooms must be controlled separately, such as a hotel. A mechanical room or a boiler room is a room or space in a building dedicated to the mechanical equipment and its associated electrical equipment as opposed to rooms intended for human occupancy or storage. Unless a building is served by a centralized heating plant the size of the mechanical room is usually proportional to the size of the building. A small building or home may have at most a utility room but in large buildings mechanical rooms can be of considerable size often requiring multiple rooms throughout the building or even occupying one or more complete floors.


A step on from installation drawings are fabrication drawings. We have often produced fabrication drawings from our coordinated ductwork model. When doing these drawings we liaise with the ductwork fabricator to ascertain their standard manufacturing dimensions such as cut-length and gasket thickness Fabrication detailing in Revit supports different MEP detailing workflows.You can then place parts to create a detailed fabrication model in Revit. You can also convert an existing Revit model with generic duct, pipe, and electrical containment parts to a model that uses fabrication parts.

Lighting fixtures come in a wide variety of styles for various functions. The most important functions are as a holder for the light source, to provide directed light and to avoid visual glare. Some are very plain and functional, while some are pieces of art in themselves. Nearly any material can be used, so long as it can tolerate the excess heat and is in keeping with safety codes.


Recessed lighting is popular, with fixtures mounted into the ceiling structure so as to appear flush with it. Track lighting, popular at one period of time because it was much easier to install than recessed lighting, and individual fixtures are decorative and can be easily aimed at a wall. A sconce is a wall-mounted fixture, particularly one that shines up and sometimes down as well.


Street Lights are used to light roadways and walkways at night. Floodlights are used to illuminate outdoor playing fields or work zones during night time. Beacon lights are positioned at the intersection of two roads to aid in navigation. Entry lights can be used outside to illuminate and signal the entrance to a property. These lights are installed for safety, security, and for decoration.


A wall socket or outlet built into the wall of a building, connected to energized electrical wires. To reduce the risk of users accidentally touching energized conductors and thereby experiencing electric shock, plug and socket systems often incorporate safety features in addition to the recessed contacts of the energized socket. Electrical sockets for single-phase domestic, commercial and light industrial purposes generally provide either two or three electrical connections to the supply conductors. Two-pin sockets normally provide neutral and line connections, both of which carry current and are defined as live parts.


A cable tray system is used to support insulated electrical cables used for power distribution, control, and communication. Cable trays are used as an alternative to open wiring or electrical conduit systems, and are commonly used for cable management in commercial and industrial construction. An electrical conduit is a tube used to protect and route electrical wiring in a building or structure. Electrical conduit may be made of metal, plastic, fiber, or fired clay. Most conduits is rigid, but flexible conduit is used for some purposes.


A fire alarm system has a number of devices working together to detect and warn people through visual and audio appliances when smoke, fire, carbon monoxide or other emergencies are present. These alarms may be activated automatically from smoke detectors, and heat detectors or may also be activated via manual fire alarm activation devices such as manual call points or pull stations. Alarms can be either motorized bells or wall mountable sounders or horns. They can also be speaker strobes which sound an alarm, followed by a voice evacuation message which warns people inside the building not to use the elevators. Fire alarm sounders can be set to certain frequencies and different tones including low, medium and high, depending on the country and manufacturer of the device.

Water Supply Systems

Water supply is the provision of water by public utilities, commercial organizations, community endeavors or by individuals, usually via a system of pumps and pipes. Irrigation is covered separately.

Drainage System

In modern plumbing, a drain-waste-vent (or DWV) is part of a system that removes sewage and greywater from a building, and regulates air pressure in the waste-system pipes to aid free flow. Waste is produced at fixtures such as toilets, sinks, and showers, and exits the fixtures through a trap, a dipped section of pipe that always contains water. We provide design stage to modelling which includes floor plans, sections, 3d views, spool drawings, installation details of soil, waste and vent pipes with complete detailing following slope schedules and standards


Fire protection is a combination of different fire safety equipment and procedures that are used to defend your property line from fire. Fire protection often includes equipment like fire alarms, extinguishers, and sprinkler systems.


Natural gas is a fossil fuel used as a source of energy for heating, cooking, and electricity generation.Natural gas runs from the main into a home or business in what's called a service line. Typically, the natural gas utility is responsible for maintaining and operating gas pipeline and facilities up to the residential gas meter.



Clash detection is one of the key features that any virtual construction modeling software offers. It helps in effective identification inspection and reporting of interferences in a project model. It is used for checking completed/ ongoing work and reduces the risk of human error during model inspections. Revit, Naviswork etc. are some of the software that supports clash detection. Naviswork offers an extensive clash report which helps the contractor or BIM Engineer identify the clashes prior to resolving them.


We provide wall penetrations, shaft opening, Beam opening, sleeves as per the MEP shop drawings for the construction. Penetration families are created particularly as per the specifications. We use Revit add-on to increase our productivity. You get much faster design and drawings and increased precision to ensure accurate bills of materials and builders work drawings. The software lets MEP engineers define and reserve holes which structural engineers and architects can review, revise if needed, and validate.


Section Plan drawings are in fact a type of section, but they cut through the building on a horizontal rather than vertical plane. We provide HVAC, electrical, plumbing coordinated sectional views with architectural and structural drawings. Provide views of specific parts of your model. The crop region and view range must intersect for a section tag to be visible. Include more than one symbol in a project by creating a new section head family.


With the help of shop drawing we produce detail drawings for installation & fabrication of HVAC or mechanical components which may require prefabrication include ductwork, air-handling units, and custom piping connections between equipment and building services. In most cases, such embellishments are drawn relative to an underlying building model view and can be automatically constrained or linked to model geometry in the view.
